P.3+ New Orleans
Opening Night "With Light, With Love" Group Show at The Tigermen Den October 2014
In October 2014, BLOOM. SHE IS DESCENDING toured to New Orleans, where the production expanded to include a multi-media installation incorporating video, puppetry, and plant life along with a recorded soundscape. The installation was on view from October 25 - December 6, 2014 as a part of the group show “With Light, With Love” presented by The Tigermen Den for Prospect New Orleans P.3+.
The video installation was projected on a large screen suspended between the french doors of the gallery, with vines and flowers from the wilds of New Orleans connecting the projection surface with a performance area framed by the flower puppets created by Jessica Scott. The film, created by Lindsay Abromaitis-Smith and Caroline Yes, incorporated video from the past two performances of BLOOM with found footage of seeds sprouting and flowers blooming, and included a recorded soundtrack by Caroline Yes which built on the live scores for the past two performances.

Bloom
Bloom. She is Descending July 31, 2014 NYC Bloom was performed for the second time on July 31, 2014, as a part of PuppetBlok! at Dixon Place, NYC. In the year since the first performance, Bloom evolved from a one-woman show to an ensemble piece directed by Lindsay Abromaitis-Smith. In this iteration, Lindsay partnered with Misha Braun in a dance that took her back through moments of sexual and physical awakening and into a present of alchemized awareness within her changing physical state. Dresses from Lindsay’s past came to life as they transformed into flowers at the hands of designer Jessica Scottand puppeteer Sarah Lafferty. A sonic atmosphere of growth and decay was created and performed by Caroline Yesand Christopher Spanninga using the electronic manipulation of objects from nature.
